Dr. James Zefran
Background and Credentials
Dr. Zefran graduated from Forest City Regional High School in 1974. He received his undergraduate education from the University of Scranton, graduating in 1978 with a BS in Biology and then went on to train at Temple University School of Dentistry, graduating in 1982. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Zefran returned home to open his practice on Church Street in Honesdale in 1983. He built the current office in 2007 in anticipation of his daughter, Marissa, joining him in practice. He is a lifetime resident of Wayne County and has served on the Clinton Township planning commission, the Forest City Education Foundation and is currently the chairperson for Clinton Township Board of Supervisors. Dr. Zefran is a member of the Scranton District Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Pennsylvania Dental Society and the American Dental Association. He takes approximately 20 continuing education hours per year gaining valuable information and staying current with all aspects of the dental field. When at home, Dr. Zefran loves to spend his time with his family and enjoys golfing, hunting, and fishing.
